If you have a suspected gas leak, don’t panic. Follow these simple instructions immediately.

Ensure the entire family and any pets are evacuated a safe distance from the house, building, or area where you suspect gas is leaking. Do not return to the premises. Stay away from the area until ThompsonGas determines that it is safe to return. ThompsonGas must check your entire system to ensure that it is leak-free. Call us at 800-768-6612, and then contact your fire department.
Immediately put out all smoking materials and other open flames. Do not operate lights, appliances, television, telephones, or cell phones.
Turn off the main gas supply valve on your propane tank or meter, if it is safe to do so. Only do this if you can access it safely. To close the valve, turn it to the right (clockwise).
