#1 Preheat the grill.
Preheating the grill for 15 to 20 minutes before you start cooking allows the meat to sear on contact, keeping it moist inside.
#2 Don’t flip the meat too often.
Flipping the meat too often isn’t going to make it cook any faster. If you flip it too frequently, you lose the heat and juices that help caramelize the marinades or rubs that create much of the flavor.
#3 Don’t cut the meat.
It’s very tempting to cut into the meat to see if it’s done. Don’t do it! The juices will be released which means all the flavor will begin to run out.
#4 After you remove it from the grill, leave the meat alone.
Let the meat rest for a few minutes after removing it from the grill. As it cools slightly, the juices will settle increasing the flavor quite a bit.
